Creme Caramel

One of the dessert i do. due to my friend love it also one of the famous dessert in my hometown. Sometime you hear people call it

' Dun Dan ' in cantonese.

Ingredient : 

Custard Egg : 

Egg

Fine Sugar

Full Cream Milk
Vanilla Syrup

|  45 g
|  250 ml
|  5 ml

Caramel Base : 

Fine Sugar 
Water

|  90g

|  5ml

You need prepare several thing before start mixing the ingredient.

  • 3 Ceramic bowl

  • tin foil

  • toothpick

Create the custard egg body first, combine all the ingredient into one glass bowl, mix well until you didn't see the egg floating around ( a little bit is OK). 

Once done the custard egg body, prepare the caramel base. You need a sauce pan for doing that, just put the fine sugar inside until you see the sugar start melting, use spoon to mix it, until you see the color start turning into yellow, stop the fire and put the water inside.

The sugar will start become solid, before become solid just pour into the 3 ceramic container you prepared, once the caramel base turn solid pour the custard egg liquid with sieve into the ceramic container, and wrap it with tin foil. Use the toothpick create several small hole on the tin foil.

Before put into the oven, prepare a tray that can hold 3 ceramic bowl. you going to pour the water inside the tray, at least cover 1/4 of the ceramic bowl. Turn on the  fire to 180 Celsius and Timer to 20 minute.
